The Resolve for the Day

At the first light of morning, before the world stirs, I will gently unfold my heart and make this resolve for the day that lies ahead:

I shall not shy away from anyone on Earth, for there is no shadow in another that can diminish the light of my soul. I will not allow the presence of others to make my spirit tremble, for each person is but a fleeting moment in the grand weave of life. We are all transient travelers upon this Earth, each with our own burdens and joys, our own inner landscapes. I will not shy away from the journey of another, nor allow their path to define my own. Instead, I will walk in the awareness that we are all equally sacred, connected by the fragile threads of time and breath, each of us a light in this vast, darkened world.

I shall revere only Love—the mystery that breathes life into all things, the eternal presence that holds the world in its embrace. In the face of this holy presence, my heart will find courage. For in revering Love, I remember the infinite embrace that holds me, and I surrender my doubts and anxieties to that greater wisdom. This is the kind of reverence that does not diminish, but amplifies the beauty of living; it is the quiet reverence that sees the sacredness in each moment and in all things.

I shall not bear ill will toward anyone, for I know the weight of resentment and the poison it spreads within. To harbor ill will is to bind my soul to a sorrow that steals the light from my heart. Instead, I choose to walk with a heart open to compassion, to forgive the faults of others as I hope to be forgiven for my own. I will remember that all are walking with wounds unseen, and I will not allow their darkness to cloud the light of my own spirit. May I always choose kindness, not just in the face of ease, but in the moments where it is most difficult to offer.

I shall not submit to injustice from anyone, for I understand that to allow injustice to persist is to silence the voice of truth. In the face of wrong, I will not cower or bow, but will rise in the quiet strength of what is just and right. I will speak with the tenderness of truth, though it may be a whisper against the winds of chaos. And in my stand for what is true, I will find the courage to carry the weight of suffering, knowing that in standing firm for justice, I am calling forth a world where light is stronger than darkness. My spirit will not break beneath injustice, for the truth is more enduring than any wrong.

And when untruths rise like waves against the shore, I shall meet them with the steadfastness of truth. I shall conquer untruth by truth, knowing that it is only by standing firm in what is true that the shadows of falsehood can be dispelled. The road may be long, and suffering may accompany the pursuit of truth, but I will endure, for truth is the river that nourishes the soul, the fire that burns away all illusions. I shall embrace the suffering that comes with seeking truth, for it is the suffering that purifies the heart and makes it whole.

I shall also honor the deep and sacred bond I share with Mother Earth and all living beings. I will walk gently upon this land, mindful of the delicate balance that sustains us all. The trees, the rivers, the mountains, and the sky are not separate from me—they are the breath of my own spirit. I shall tread with reverence for the beauty and wisdom that pulses through all creation. Every leaf that unfurls, every bird that soars, every creature that crawls, and every breeze that whispers carries within it the profound language of life. I shall listen with open ears and an open heart, seeing each being as a companion in the sacred dance of the Earth. I will protect and cherish the world that has given me life, and in doing so, I will honor the interwoven tapestry of all living things, knowing that we are each an integral part of the grand symphony of existence.

I will also remember that we are all one. In the quiet, when I listen deeply, I hear the song of humanity echoing within me. Each soul, unique and precious, is a note in the grand symphony of life, and none is less important than another. In the vastness of the world, we may seem separate, but in truth, we are all woven together, like the threads of a tapestry too beautiful to fully comprehend. No one is beyond the reach of the love that flows through all things, and every person carries within them a light that is as sacred as my own.

When I encounter another, I will see them as a mirror, reflecting back the deepest parts of myself. The pain they carry is the pain of us all, the joy they embrace is the joy we all share. In their eyes, I will recognize the ancient, unspoken connection that binds us together. I will honor their journey as I honor my own, knowing that we are travelers walking side by side, each carrying burdens and dreams, yet always together in the delicate dance of being. Each step they take is sacred, for they, too, are walking their path toward wholeness, toward understanding, toward the fullness of life.

I will cherish the beauty in their uniqueness, for each individual is a manifestation of the divine, a living expression of the mysteries that reside within us all. There is no one among us who is not precious, no heart too small to carry the infinite love that surrounds us. I will never forget that the very same essence that breathes through me is present in every person I meet, whether in moments of tenderness or of challenge. In the eyes of another, I see the sacred spark that resides in every human being—an unbreakable thread that ties us all to the eternal pulse of life.

And so, with each new dawn, I will open my heart wider to the truth that we are all interconnected, that in helping another, I help myself, and in loving another, I honor the divine in them. For to love another is to recognize that we are all part of the same, magnificent whole. I will no longer look at anyone with a heart that sees division; instead, I will see only the oneness of all. I shall hold this truth close and carry it with me through each day: we are all one, and in each of us, a light that is precious, radiant, and eternal.

I will trust my inner wisdom, that quiet, steady voice that speaks from the depths of my soul. It is a voice that has always been with me, guiding me through the uncertainties and challenges of life. I will listen to it with reverence, knowing that it carries the wisdom of all my experiences, the lessons of my heart, and the gentle whispers of the sacred within me. Even in moments of doubt, I will trust that this wisdom will lead me toward what is true, what is right, and what will bring peace to my spirit. It is a wisdom that does not shout or demand, but speaks softly, offering direction with love and clarity. I will not dismiss it, but honor it as a trusted companion, for it knows the way even when the path seems unclear. And in trusting it, I will find the courage to walk boldly in the direction of my deepest calling, knowing that I am always supported by the inner strength that resides within.

At the close of each day, I will remember the resolve I made in the quiet of the morning. I will hold these promises as sacred, woven into the fabric of my being. And when the night comes, I will rest in the knowledge that each step I have taken today has been a step toward peace, toward love, and toward the gentle unfolding of the soul's deepest longing.

I love You,
Alma
